The largest marketplaces in Spain explained

Not every marketplace is open to every seller, and we do not connect every marketplace. Here is what you need to know about each one.

El Corte Inglés

El Corte Inglés

Connectable Department store, broad

The marketplace of the well known Spanish department store chain, covering fashion, home, sports and electronics. We connect El Corte Inglés for Portugal too, so the same product data can reach two countries. For Portugal you do need Portuguese listings.

PcComponentes

PcComponentes

MediaMarkt

MediaMarkt

Connectable Electronics

The marketplace of the electronics chain, which we also connect for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Portugal, among others. Useful if you sell electronics in several countries.

Carrefour España

Carrefour España

Connectable General

The Spanish marketplace of the supermarket chain, with a large non-food range such as home, garden, toys and electronics. We connect this marketplace for Spain only.

Amazon.es

Beta, on request General

The best known general marketplace in Spain. Our Amazon integration is in beta and available on request only. Get in touch if you want to join and we will check together whether your range is a good fit.

Zalando

Not connected by StoreLinkr Fashion

For Spain, Zalando asks for proof of your packaging (EPR) registration, a valid 13-digit EAN per item and, if you ship yourself, free shipping and returns within 30 days.3 StoreLinkr does not connect Zalando. For fashion in Spain you can connect Kiabi and Showroomprivé.

Marketplaces in Spain by category

General marketplaces bring lots of visitors, but also lots of competition. A specialist marketplace has fewer sellers per product and customers who know what they want. So choose based on your range.

What do you need to sell in Spain?

Listings in SpanishTitles, descriptions and customer service in Spanish. At least have your best sellers checked by someone who speaks Spanish well.
Packaging registration (envases)If you are the first to place packaged products on the Spanish market, you register in the Registro de Productores de Producto, packaging section (envases). Your registration number (ENV/…) goes on your invoices. If you sell from abroad directly to Spanish customers, you appoint an authorised representative in Spain.1
VAT through the One-Stop ShopOnce your sales to consumers in other EU countries exceed €10,000 a year in total, you charge Spanish VAT. You can declare it for all countries at once through the One-Stop Shop (OSS).4
Canary Islands, Ceuta and MelillaThese areas are part of Spain but outside the EU VAT area.5 Sales there work differently from sales to mainland Spain. Only switch them on once you have checked VAT and customs.
Product safety (GPSR)Your offer shows the manufacturer, a responsible person in the EU if the manufacturer is based outside it, and safety information. Without that data a marketplace must not show your offer.6
14-day right of withdrawalYour customer may cancel within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Return costs are only for the customer if you said so in advance.7
Shipping and returnsSpain is a long way from most of northern Europe. Plan realistic delivery times and a return address your Spanish customer understands.

New since 12 August 2026: marketplaces must obtain their sellers' registration in the Spanish packaging register and check your tax number (NIF), company name and registration number before you can sell.1 Without a registration you can no longer get on.

This is not tax or legal advice. If you are unsure about VAT or registrations, ask your accountant.

How to start in 6 steps

  1. Pick 1 or 2 marketplacesStart with a broad marketplace (El Corte Inglés or Carrefour) and one specialist marketplace that fits your range.
  2. Arrange your packaging registrationAppoint an authorised representative in Spain, get registered under envases and keep your ENV number at hand. The marketplace will ask for it.
  3. Check your VATAdd up your sales to consumers in other EU countries. If you go over €10,000 a year, register for the One-Stop Shop.
  4. Translate your product dataTitles, descriptions and attributes in proper Spanish, with an EAN for every product. If Portugal is next, plan Portuguese listings straight away.
  5. Complete GPSR dataManufacturer, responsible person in the EU, warnings and manuals. If anything is missing, your offer will not go live.
  6. Connect stock and ordersLet stock, prices and orders sync automatically with your online store, so you never sell what you do not have.

Several marketplaces in Spain at once

Every marketplace has its own portal, its own categories and its own rules. With two marketplaces you can still manage by hand. From three on, stock becomes the real risk: if you sell the same product on a marketplace and in your own store, stock has to be right in both places straight away.

StoreLinkr takes products, stock and prices from your online store (WooCommerce, Shopify or SitePack), your POS system or your wholesaler, and puts them on the marketplaces you choose. Orders come back into your store. Per marketplace you set categories, price rules and exclusions.

Partly. Among others, we connect El Corte Inglés, PcComponentes, Sprinter, Brico Dépôt, Leroy Merlin and Planeta Huerto for both Spain and Portugal. Carrefour España, Casa del Libro, Jardiland, LDLC and Tiendanimal are Spain only. Portugal has its own packaging rules, so read the Portugal page too.

We do not connect Zalando. Amazon is in beta, on request. You can connect 19 Spanish marketplaces, including El Corte Inglés, Carrefour España, MediaMarkt, PcComponentes and Leroy Merlin.

You do not need a Spanish company for your packaging registration. Without an establishment in Spain you do appoint an authorised representative for it. Which other company details a marketplace asks for, you will see when you sign up.
